EMILIE (Pilates) is a San Francisco-based certified Pilates instructor and is getting her MA in Integrative Health Studies at the California Institute of Integral Studies. She received her Pilates certification through Romana's Pilates® 600-hour teacher training program. While Director of Continuing Education at re:AB Pilates in NYC, Emilie incurred over 100 additional hours of multi-modality fitness training.
Emilie discovered the benefits of Pilates as part of her lifelong quest to address and alleviate chronic pain stemming from a hip labral tear and scoliosis. She became a Pilates instructor and body worker due to her desire to share with others the self-sustaining mind/body benefits of physical fitness. To that end, Emilie teaches an efficient Pilates workout focused on precision and pace. Emilie enjoys teaching people of all ages and backgrounds and specializes in working with those who, like herself, have been limited in their ability to exercise due to physical pain or injury. Her key pursuit as an instructor is to guide people toward fully realizing the extent to which they have control over their own whole-body strength and well-being!
