TESTIMONIALS
Only one session a week with Denise makes a HUGE difference in the way my clothes fit and my body feels! Her hawk-eye attention means I get twice the workout and faster results. -Amy, Athens, GA
I loved my studio sessions with Denise and decided to try Skype lessons while traveling. I was a bit skeptical, but Denise gave me the same kind of deep and rewarding workout as I experienced in the studio. - Jennifer, New York City
I hurt my lower back exercising on my own and wondered whether my Pilates workout would be restricted. To the contrary, I had a total workout with Denise modifying each move. At the end of the session, my back felt almost normal after three days of stiffness and pain. -Gayle, New York City
philosophy
When you commit to changing your body, you commit to changing your life.
First, start where you are.
Whether you haven’t exercised in years, live an active lifestyle or are a professional dancer/athlete, it’s important to objectively evaluate your starting point. Together we will embrace exactly where you are and will design an individualized road map to achieve the results you want most.
Second, engage in a sustainable method of fitness.
I believe in teaching you how to find a sustainable way to reach your goals. This means focusing on proper form and moving through any obstacles or blocks that slow down your progress. I don’t care if you can do five, ten, or fifty repetitions of an exercise. I care that you can do one in perfect form. My work is about quality over quantity.
Third, keep showing up.
Often, the most challenging part of a fitness program is sticking with it. This is why I have created my exclusive MyBOD system. My programs make it easy for you to stay consistent by providing accountability to show up for yourself - in the studio or online. Being out of town or always on the go no longer has to mean you can't workout. I offer online sessions to fill in the gaps when you can't get to the studio.
Fourth, work (inside) out.
You have an inner and outer strength. When you focus on the internal first, the rest comes easy. Using the Pilates method, we concentrate on working consciously from the inside out, stabilizing your core and lengthening your spine. In your session you will use your own body weight to deeply challenge under worked muscles and stretch into your fullest potential. You will be amazed at how quickly you will begin to feel and see the results of your efforts.
Finally (or Fifth), feel aligned, connected and energized.
This is what I know for sure: when you start where you are, engage in a sustainable method, and work from the inside out, you become aligned and connected to your body. When you’re connected to yourself, you can better connect to others and to your world. Your energy will return. You will feel proud of yourself. You will feel more like you again. Period.
